Commencement

Press Release: April 29, 2024

Colorado Springs, CO – Monday, April 29, 2024 – Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) extends an invitation to the community of Colorado Springs and beyond to attend the commencement ceremony honoring the Class of 2024. The ceremony will take place at the Broadmoor World Arena (3185 Venetucci Boulevard, Colorado Springs Colorado 80906) on May 11, 2024, starting at 10:30am to celebrate the achievement, dedication, and the future aspirations of our graduates.

Pikes Peak State’s vision is to see students succeed. This year, Pikes Peak State College will graduate more than 2,400 graduates. In 2022, PPSC changed its name from Pikes Peak Community College to Pikes Peak State College, in part to reflect the offering of four-year degrees. This commencement ceremony will award nearly 70 bachelor's degrees to graduates.

The mission of PPSC is to provide high quality educational opportunities to all with a focus on student success and community needs. The institution works with a conglomerate of industry partners in order to respond to workforce needs by offering certificates and two-year degrees that quickly funnel trained workers into the region. This year, PPSC will award roughly 1,600 associate degrees and 1,500 certificates to graduates.

PPSC values a community built on learning, mutual respect, and diversity. In alignment with these values, the ceremony will include a unique Native American blessing presented by the Thundering
Eagles Drum Group. PPSC was awarded a gold ranking as a Military Friendly school for the 2023-2024 school year and is working to become a Hispanic Serving Institution.

Official numbers and demographics of graduates from PPSC for the 2023-2024 academic school year will be solidified in late July. PPSC invites the press and the community to celebrate with our graduates at the commencement ceremony as they launch into becoming Pikes Peak region’s leaders.
