The PPSC Foundation is pleased to present students with several scholarship opportunities, detailed below.

Additional scholarship opportunities outside of PPSC are available to students and have different application dates. 

The Colorado Promise Tax Credit offers a tuition reimbursement in the form a tax credit for your first two years of college. You may be eligible if your family income is $90,000 or less. Learn more about eligibility requirements and how it works if you think you qualify. 

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The PPSC Foundation will be accepting General Scholarship Applications for the Spring 2025 semester beginning November 4, 2024. Students who have not been awarded a 2024-2025 Foundation Scholarship, and who are not participating in the Finish What You Started or Promise Programs, are eligible to apply.

The application will remain open from November 4, 2024, through December 30, 2024.

To Apply:
1. Log in to your myPikesPeak Portal 
2. Click on the Student Tab
3. Click on the Scholarship Management Link
4. Select the General Application for Spring 2025 to begin

OPPORTUNITY NEXT

2024 high school graduates and GED completers could qualify for a $1,500 scholarship for the Fall 2024 semester through the Opportunity Next program if enrolled in a high-priority pathway.

Colorado Foster Ed Program

The FosterEd program awards funds to qualifying students who have been in foster care or non-certified kinship care in Colorado on or after their 13th birthday.  There is no age limit on this program and eligible students may receive funding for a maximum of 132 semester credits.   If you believe you are eligible for this program, please contact the PPSC Foster ED Liaison for more information about application assistance, financial assistance, support services and general resources.

COLORADO EMPOWER ED PROGRAM

The EmpowerEd Program provides higher education funding and support to individuals who experienced homelessness and were identified as being McKinney-Vento eligible by a designated school personnel while enrolled in a Colorado high school.

Students eligible for the program would meet the following criteria:
  • Identified by designated school personnel as homeless child, or youth pursuant to the Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act while residing in Colorado between the start of the 9th grade and the end of the 12th grade
  • Is at least 17 years of age, and has not yet reached 27 years
  • Is a current Colorado Resident
  • Accepted as a regular student, at an in-state, public institution of higher education, local district college, or area technical college
  • Enrolled in classes leading to a certificate, associate degree or first bachelor's degree
  • Have completed a current-year FAFSA or CASFA application 
  • Complete the current year Empower ED Application

KANE FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

PPSC is grateful for the overwhelming generosity the Kane Family Foundation has shown in supporting students here at PPSC. This scholarship will cover tuition, fees, and required books for up to four semesters. It will be available to highly successful non- traditional students who are committed to:

  • Completing at least 12 credit hours per semester or more
  • Maintaining a 3.0 gpa at PPSC
  • Graduating within two years of beginning their program at PPSC
How Do I Apply?

The Kane Family Foundation scholarship will be open during the regular scholarship application period and can be completed after the general application is submitted. Watch your email account for scholarship availability announcements!

Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges Scholarships

The CCCS Foundation Scholarship Application is now closed for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.  The application will reopen in May 2025 to accept applications for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

CHEF HENRY TRUJILLO ENDOWED FUND

Pikes Peak State College Foundation is honored to share the legacy of Chef Henry Trujillo, the only Executive Chef at The Broadmoor with local roots. Hired and mentored by the Founding Executive Chef, Louis Stratta, and the third of only seven executive chefs to date, Chef Trujillo served the hotel's famed kitchens from 1956 to 1992.

Once on the page, you can filter to PPSC Foundation scholarships or external scholarships by selecting the + beside the scholarship category on the left side of the page.

To apply for PPSC Foundation Scholarships, you must be admitted as a student at PPSC. Log into your student account to view and apply for available scholarships.

To apply for external scholarships, go to the scholarship sponsor’s website for further information and instructions on how to apply. Outside scholarship providers are not under the jurisdiction of PPSC, therefore the college assumes no obligation for verification of the legitimacy of such providers listed on this website. 

You can also look for additional scholarship opportunities through scholarship search websites, professional associations, local service organizations, credit unions and banks, Colorado Foundations, The Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Veterans Service Organizations and Military Associations.
