Healers are heroes.Imagine being an integral member of a surgical team who delivers patient care before, during, and after surgery. Prepare the operating room. Pass instruments to the surgeon. That’s exciting work. PPSC’s program prepares you for work in surgical settings including hospital operating rooms, labor and delivery, cardiovascular, and many other specialties. You can even continue your studies to become a surgeon, surgical nurse, or anesthesiologist.
Be a player on a healing team.People will always need drugs to improve their lives. Learn to help licensed pharmacists with sterile compounding, making IV medications, organizing drug inventory, and performing authorizations for patients. PPSC is one of only a handful of programs in the state to offer an associate degree and we have had a 99% pass rate over the last 10 years on the national certification exam.
Let’s mix it up.This area of study will prepare you to help with clinical and administrative functions in medical offices and other outpatient settings. You’ll love the variety of becoming familiar with medical diagnostic and treatment procedures including phlebotomy, laboratory testing, respiratory testing and treatments, cast care, wound care, medication dosage calculations and administration, performing EKG (electrocardiograms) all while interacting with patients and their needs.
