A grant is a form of financial aid that doesn’t have to be repaid (unless, for example, you withdraw from school and owe a refund, or you receive a TEACH Grant and don’t complete your service obligation). A variety of federal grants are available, including:
Pell Grants
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
Colorado Student Grant (CSG)
Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grants (IASG)
Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree.
A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid, except under certain circumstances
Total withdrawal from classes or all failing grades in a semester may result in paying back grant funds, always consult the PPSC Financial Aid Office when considering a withdrawal.
Offered according to a student’s level of need, the Colorado Student Grant (CSG) is based on FAFSA information, including family finances.
