Background

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from the University of New York, a Master of Business Administration (Human Resources) from the University of Colorado (Colorado Springs) and a Doctor of Management (Organizational Leadership) from the University of Phoenix.

After retiring from the Army in 1996, David moved his family; wife Yong, daughter Sarah and son Joe, to Colorado Springs and started working while going to school. When Sarah and Joe were young, David and Yong started adopting “fur babies” from the Humane Society. Since the children are grown, they have, over a period of a few years, provided a permanent home to a total of twelve four-legged friends (all rescues); all of whom have become part of the family. Also, contrary to popular belief, cats and dogs can live together in harmony even if they were not raised together; they currently have six dogs and four cats.

Professional Experience

David acquired business experience with positions (mostly in HR) at several large and small companies including Home Depot (HR Manager), Wal-Mart (District HR), and other industries such as manufacturing, service, school district and government service. Currently, along with teaching, David and Yong,  for more than four years, own and operate a small pressure washing business based in Colorado Springs.
