Lisa Macedo
M.F.A., George Mason University
Lisa Macedo grew up in Northern Nevada and has lived all over the United States. She
started writing at an early age, and is currently working on a novel about politics
and skiing. She is always reading at least two books (fiction and nonfiction), always
has a home renovation project (or two) going on, and enjoys cooking, skiing, running,
and music. She shares her home in Monument with her husband, children, dog, and too
many plants.
Lisa has worked in higher education for over 20 years, serving in advisory roles in international education for the University of Nevada, Reno; the University of California, Davis; the University of Washington, Bothell; and the University of California, Berkeley. She began her teaching journey at George Mason University and has also taught at Colorado Christian University.
