The Pikes Peak Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (PPRUMC), is an esteemed, annual one-day mathematics conference that has been held since 2004 at institutions
including Colorado College (CC), University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS), Colorado State University-Pueblo (CSU-Pueblo), and United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). This
year, we are excited to bring the conference to Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) for the first
time.
PPRUMC aims to provide undergraduate mathematics students the opportunity to present
their research and expository projects in a professional setting. Attendees will also benefit
from a keynote address delivered by Dr. Stefan Erickson of Colorado College.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network, enjoy a free lunch, learn about
diverse career paths in mathematics, and learn from a panel of industry professionals
with degrees in mathematics and current doctoral students.
The PPSC Mathematics Department is excited to collaborate with the PPSC Sign Language
Interpreter Preparation Program to provide interpretation for this event. This partnership
offers a unique and valuable opportunity for students in the prep program to develop
their skills in translating mathematical concepts, an area where such experience is
rare. We look forward to the benefits this collaboration will bring to both groups
of students.
