Benefits for Spouses and Dependents

There are a variety of assistance programs and benefits available to spouses and dependents of active duty and veteran service members.

MyCAA

MyCAA provides funding for military spouses who are pursuing "portable degrees" like nursing and radiology.

There are specific eligibility requirements including pay grades of your service member and maximum tuition benefits. 

You will log in to your DS Logon (the same login you may use to access TRICARE online or MySECO) to check your eligibility and apply for myCAA.

CH33 Benefits

CH33DF Post 9/11 GI Bill® John David Fry Scholarship: This benefit is available for children and spouses of service members who died in the line of duty after September 10, 2001.

CH33TEB Post 9/11 GI Bill® Transfer of Education Benefits: Available for children and spouses of service members or veterans who transferred their education benefits to their dependents. 

You will follow CH33 enrollment instructions to apply and receive these benefits. There are restrictions, including the instructional method you select (online, hybrid, on-campus, etc.), so be sure to follow the application steps carefully.

CH35 Benefits

CH35 Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance offers education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or of Veterans who dies while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.

Be sure to check all eligibility requirements to ensure you are eligible to receive these benefits.

Military Spouse Scholarships & Licensure

Military Spouse Tuition Scholarship Program: Spouses enrolled in PPSC military classes at Fort Carson or Peterson SFB are eligible for a scholarship if both the spouse and sponsor are registered for classes on a military installation!

Spouse Licensure & Certificate Reimbursement Program:  Military spouses may obtain three-year temporary credentials for any profession or occupation under the purview of DPO, if they hold a credential in good standing from another US state or territory and meet certain other requirements. 

Additionally, military spouses who move with their sponsor for a PCS assignment are eligible to receive reimbursement for expenses they pay to be re-licensed/re-certified at their new location.
