The Cybersecurity degree provides students foundation knowledge of cyber security threats, as well as procedures to mitigate computer and network security risks.

The Cybersecurity certificate prepares students for an entry level position in the fields of cyber security and computer networking. This certificate provides a foundation for students to achieve industry certifications, such as CompTIA’s Security+ and EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker.

The BAS in Cybersecurity degree is a comprehensive program that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to protect computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

How to Apply to the Cybersecurity Bachelor of Applied Science degree

To apply for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity, you must have completed an associate degree (minimum 60 credits) in one of the following areas:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Networking and/or Network Security
  • Secure Software Development
  • A Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) associate degree
  • An associate degree approved by the Computer Networking department, including completion of a prescribed elective list.
If you have not yet completed an associate degree:
  • Select the Cybersecurity AAS on your admission application
If you're unsure about meeting the requirements, please contact the Cybersecurity Director, Mike Krakow, at Mike.Krakow@pikespeak.edu.

If you are new to PPSC and have already completed a relevant associate degree:
  • Select the Cybersecurity BAS on your admission application. The bachelor's program is listed under “Selective Programs” in the “Select an Area of Interest” section.
  • After submitting your application, send your transcripts to Mike.Krakow@pikespeak.edu.
If you are a current PPSC student nearing the completion of your associate degree:
  •  You do not need to reapply. However, you will need to contact Mike Krakow to transition into the bachelor’s-level cybersecurity courses.
