Education: I started my education at Morgan Community College, earning my Associate of Arts
Degree in Business. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 2015 and
my Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2017 from UCCS.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: I love the fact that Pikes Peak can be for anyone. Whether you have a 4.0 GPA, need
a fresh start, want to go into a trades field, or wants to earn credits to transfer,
we have something for you here at Pikes Peak State College.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I am a huge nerd and love anything that has to do with Harry Potter, Star Wars, or
Lord of the Rings. I like to go home after work and decompress by playing xbox. The
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is my favorite place in Colorado Springs.
Advice for students: Ask questions! Pikes Peak State staff and faculty are here to help you succeed, but
we need you to advocate for yourself and ask questions so we can help you. You are
not in this alone.

Education: I completed my undergraduate degree at Taylor University in the middle-of-nowhere,
Indiana. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education and a certificate
in Teaching English as a Second Language. I went on to earn my Master's in International
Education from SIT Institute in 2018.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: I love all the support Pikes Peak offers our students! No matter your situation or
circumstances, Pikes Peak has or can find a way to help you achieve your goals.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I would rather be outdoors! I like camping, biking, jogging, and hiking. I hope to
hike all of Colorado's 14ers one day! If I'm not outside, you might find me reading
historical fiction novels or eating ice cream.
Advice for students: Don't give up on your goals. You may have to take weekend or night classes, take a
semester off, or ask for additional support from Pikes Peak, but keep working toward
your dreams. It will be worth it!

Education: I received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with an emphasis in Student Affairs
in Higher Education from UCCS in 2021.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak: My favorite thing about Pikes Peak is how welcoming and inclusive we are to everyone.
No matter where you are in your educational journey, you can take classes at PPSC!
When not at Pikes Peak: I love spending time with my friends and family! I also enjoy reading, listening to
music, and spending time outside with my perfect dog, Luka!
Advice for students: Don't be afraid to ask questions and reach out to staff and faculty. It can be scary
sometimes, but remember that everyone at PPSC is here to support and help you! Also,
try to find something on campus to get involved in, whether it's an on-campus job,
a study group, or clubs and activities.
Hi there! I'm Allie and my major is Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. I'm starting at PPSC and planning to transfer to Pueblo Community College and attend their Sonography program. After college I want to work in a private practice as an ultrasound tech! I love the PPSC environment. My biggest advice to new students is to get involved!
I'm Juan and I am an international student. I am currently majoring in Computer Science and I plan to transfer to UCCS in about a year. My favorite thing about PPSC is how easy it is to find help if you ever have difficulties in a class whether it is through tutors or with your professor during office hours. One piece of advice that I give to new students is to always make friends because you are going to need them, especially in college!
I’m an education major and after college I want to become a high school geometry teacher! My favorite thing about PPSC are the classes. They’re small so I can always get one-on-one time with my professor if I’m struggling. I became an ambassador to get more involved on campus, to make friends - and to help provide information about Pikes Peak State!
Hello! I'm a studio art major here at PPSC and I plan to transfer to UCCS. I decided to become an ambassador to get myself out of my comfort zone, and my favorite thing about PPSC is how kind and ready to help everyone is. My advice for other students is to not set yourself up for failure! For example, if you know you're not a morning person, don't take morning classes (if possible, of course)!
I'm Desirae and my areas of study are Phlebotomy and an Associate in General Studies. I love reading, and I want to go to Ireland at least once in my life. I hope to help more people reach their goals and learn more about their school! My favorite thing about PPSC is the variety of things we offer, from programs to clubs. My advice to others is to be as informed as possible! Try to learn everything you can about what you want to do and what you want to learn.
I'm Yemi, and I am a Psychology major. I want to be a practicing therapist and be able to provide support to people like foster kids and immigrants who rely on psychologists for help through those processes. I am a Colorado native, and my favorite spot in Colorado Springs is a secret spot off the trail at Palmer Park. I love PPSC for how hands-on the professors are. My advice for others is to get organized at the beginning of the semester - make a master calendar with all your assignments.
