The Pikes Peak State College Delta Dental Oral Health Career Center will be seeking patients with various dental needs starting in January of 2025. In the spring of 2025 basic restorative (dental fillings, sealants, etc.) services will be provided. Starting in the spring of 2026, a wide range of preventive (dental cleanings, sealants, etc.) and therapeutic (deep cleanings and gum disease treatment) services will be offered. All patients will be required to come in for a 30-minute screening appointment to assess the individual needs prior to scheduling an appointment with a student clinician.
Appointments will be available starting in January 2025.
The Delta Dental Oral Health Career Center at Pikes Peak State College offers a wide range of preventive and therapeutic dental services for adults and children through our Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. At full capacity, we serve approximately 150-200 patients per week. Our student clinicians provide all services under the direct supervision of certified dental assistants, licensed dental hygienists, and a staff dentist, ensuring high-quality care and comprehensive education for our students.
Due to the educational setting, our appointment times and processes differ from those of a private dental office. Patients are accepted based on their dental and/or medical needs and the teaching value for our students. We may refer some patients to community practitioners. Appointments are typically offered during the day, with limited evening options, and require significant time commitments. Each appointment lasts approximately 3.5-4 hours, and multiple visits may be needed.
